Still Here

by jetsetgrl, Mar 08, 2008 06:25PM
Hi - Still here and still sober. I have not taken any opiates for a couple of months now. I still am feeling some withdrawal after all this time. Wow. I have a runny nose- which does not really bother me. I still have insomnia and restless leg syndrome at night, which includes "crawling sensation on my legs, sometimes I feel like there is something biting me ( like a bug) and an urge to kick my legs while I am trying to sleep or lay down. I was on opiates on and off for eight years for chronic pain.

I finally bought some melantonin for sleep and some natural remedy for RLS. Both have helped. I was really getting tired of no sleep- (no pun intended).

How much longer will I go through this at night. I know that eveyone is different. Just an approx. answer would be much appreciated. Thanks

It is called Restfull Legs. I bought it @ Payless Drug Store it is by a co. called Hylands. It is homopathic- not a drug.

My mood now is pretty good but does vary from day to day. I have been making myself go the the gym to get my endorphins kicking-in. It really helps. I would say that earlier on I was pretty much a ***** to my poor hubby. I am doing better now. Depression has not been too bad. As long as I am moving forward- I am cool.

Thanks for all of the kind words!

Angel just posted about this product. Works great she said. For depression, if you're not on anti depressants, look into amino acids and SamE.

It has been awhile. How is everyone? I am bumping up b/c I am still here and still sober! Who-Hoo! The company that I work for is going through a re-organization. I have been working many hours and there have been many meetings into the late night.

Damn I wish that I would have documented my quit date. It was sometime in Jan. this year. If so- I am around 4 months. Yes!

Thank you. I did not post until a little bit after my quit date. I was too depressed and sick to try to communicate with others. I was here reading though. Thanks again!
