hi, i have been worried about these grain-like clusters on the inside on my labia minora. They itch & have not gotten any bigger or seem don't seem to have multiplied. I got tested for STD's & all have been negative. I also went to my GYN & she said it could be granular growth & that it didn't look like warts, I even put vinegar on them & the did not turn white, (like warts do). My question is, why do they itch so bad & can they become cancerous?

Hello,

You can ask your ob/gyn to biopsy one of the areas which will provide a pathologic diagnosis. Also, you may want to be seen by a dermatologist to help sort out what these lesions are. I suspect cancer is very unlikely.

Have you ruled out a yeast infection? Those are the biggest culprit of itching, and yes yeast infections can have bumps sometimes - especially if they get out of control. If you think it could be an option, you can buy cream for it in the store (like Monestat7). Whenever I have a yeast infection I buy foot fungal cream (because it works 3x faster and is 1/3 the price). As long as the active ingredient is Clotrimazol, it works great for me. Initial use stings a bit, but then instant relief. Apply 4 times a day. In 2 days it's gone. I continue for a 3rd day if I want to be extra safe.

Certainly ask your OB about it though. I'd hate to recomend something that could make your personal situation worse. Your symptoms just sound exactly the way all my yeast infections are. Also, please know that I've never used Clotrimazol UP inside...only on the labia. I don't know if it can be used UP inside or not.
