Allergic to Breast Implant

by Charlene156, Mar 10, 2008 07:19PM
On March 5th, 2008 I had a breast augmentation.  Two days later my turso developed hives, itchy inflammation.  It has progressed to now cover most of my body.  Very uncomfortable.  My follow up visit is tomorrow.

My question is....Is it possible to be allergic to a saline implant and if so would the reaction be similar to what I'm experiencing.  PLease advise!

Thank you

Both the saline in the implant and the silicone shell will not produce the reaction you are experiencing.  It is more likely a drug reaction from a medication you are taking.
