i had my glucose tolerance test (gtt) today, i have had it with all of my preganacies and have never had a problem,  but today about 30 mins after the second lot of blood was taken i felt sooooo ill, i was very tired, but then i got really light headed and dizzy and neally passed out, i had to eat some chocolate and have some sweet juice pretty quick, i have never expereinced this before, so i am a bit worried about the results of this test,  has anyone here had this test done and felt like this and had a good result?  any input or advice appreciated,  many thanks.

Maybe its 24-26weeks???

I had it done at 18 w and just not at 26w4d......Mine came back negative, but I too felt light headed. I think it just happens sometimes when they take blood. They took six tubes from me that day, but I did find out my iron count is low which can contribute to dizziness from what I've read.

My OB office doesn't do it until 26-28 wks.  But they would do it earlier if I was having symptoms.  I guess it depends on the office.

I just did a THREE hour glucose and insulin test (oy vey...) and I got nauseous and dizzy the first hour. After that first hour passed, and they let me lay down, I felt better. And I'm not pregnant! It's because of fasting and then having blood drawn. Some people are fine and others are okay. It won't mean your test results will be one way or another. I had my blood drawn 4 times over the course of 3 hours, but it was only that first hour that I felt like crud.
