A bigger problem?

by houston18, Mar 11, 2008 12:58PM
Hashimotos, Hypothyroidism, Severe facet arthritis, overall generally tired, having no immunity to sickness, very low blood pressure, and so much more... you would never think this is the diagnoses of a 18 year old...
December of 2006, after many yrs of cheerleading (10 yrs) was diagnosed with a bulging L4L5 disc.

Of August of 2007, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto/Hypothyroidism with the TSH reading off the chart. After an estimated year of misdiagnosing/ignoring my symptoms, this was my first antiimmunity disease. They figured the reason the bulging disc was so painful was because of the joint pains from Hypo. Once on synthroid, the pain went away.

November 2007 the back pain came back and worse then before. After many tests and ignoring my symptoms (once again) March 2008 a sports med dct. told me I had a severe case of facet arthritis, possibly due to another antiimmuntiy disease.

All of these problems not only happened in one year, but I am a 18 yr old female, very healthy, underweight/average, athletic, never had a problem before, and then all of this, within one year. The sports med. doctor said my arthritis was a combination of cheerleading and autoimmune disease.
This is my second autoimmunity disease within a year. Is there a bigger problem? And should I expect more diseases to appear?
