will lipo help very lumpy cellulite?

by ADSF, Mar 13, 2008 12:37PM
I have lost about 40 pounds in the last two years, and although I would like to lose a little more, I am  generally happy with my shape.   My problem is that I have VERY lumpy cellulite in my lower butt/saddlebag area, which seems to have worsened with the weight loss.   The lumpiness can be very visible through my pants, so I really try to restrict the type of fabric I wear on my lower half.  I am wondering if liposuction would help to even out this area.   I have wide hips, but I am content with my body (with the exception noted above).  I would not be looking to loose a lot of inches in that area (though I would complain of a few inches lost) but I am more concerned with smoothing the area out.    Can you tell me if liposuction is generally indicated for this type of problem?

Liposuction will definitely re-shape the areas in questions, however, it is unlikely to correct superficial irregularities.  These may be temporarily improved with roller/suction machines (endermology) or superficial laser therapy (Velosmooth).  The re-shaped areas from liposucution will be permanent.
