I am 14 years out of chemo for breast cancer-drugs used were cytoxin-methotrexoate and 5FU I have severe pains in my legs and occasional bouts of weakness in my legs where if I don,t sit down I will fall as my legs give out--this does not last more than 5-20 minutesd I have been taking femara for the past few years--could the pain which is sometimes aching or sometimes sharp shooting pains be attributed to this -I also have a post chemo arthritis

Dear spity:  It is not uncommon for women to have muscle and joint pain while taking femara.  The weakness may or may not be related.  You should discuss this with your oncologist who can evaluate these symptoms, determine whether additional investigation is needed and make treatment recommendations.
