pain after tooth extraction

by debfab, Mar 14, 2008 01:32PM
I had a top molar tooth extracted 9 days ago.  I am still having considerable pain at the extraction site.  I went back to the oral surgeon and he said everything looked fine- I did not have a dry scoket.  Is it normal to have pain this long?

Nine days seems excessive but I do not know how difficult the extraction was.If the pain persists I would think you need to see the oral surgeon.
