Symptoms but Neg tests

by mfoulks5505, Mar 15, 2008 01:47PM
ok im almost 3 weeks late, have taken 5 tests all negative ( i even used different brands) im starting to get a little more nausea each day, today it was queazy in the morning and i just went back to sleep and i woke up feeling fine. every so often i will get a slight cramp in my stomach and im bloated. my appetite went from being very hungry for about 2 weeks and only eating like once a day, to the past few days where im always hungry. well today i noticed brownish pink discharge (not much), i thought maybe im about to get my period finally but i always get real bad cramps the 2 days before my period and i didnt get those. is it possible that i got pregnant so close to my february period that that one doesn't technically count as my missed period and i wont test positive until i miss my march period?? could i be pregnant? i just want to know damn it.

Hello,

Repeat the HPT in one week.  If negative, wait a month and see what happens.

Best regards,

when was your feb period? and when is your march due? cos it's halfway through the month, and you said you are 3 weeks late, so i'd try to get a dr to do blood......your symptoms could be due to pregnancy, so you might want to get blood drawn

Hi, best thing for you to do is to go and have a blood test. This will tell you 100%.  I had two pregnancies recently that I also had negative results for at home. Blood tests were positive, I have had a child 18 months ago and it was a strong positve at home. These last two pregnancies ended in miscarriage.  Either you have your dates wrong or the hormone levels are low hence they are not detected on home testing,  My dr told me that low hormone levels are a sign things are not right.  Hope this helps and good luck.

it should be postive, but sometimes the levels arent always high enough for EVERY woman to get a positve HPT.....call your obgyn, and schedule to have blood drawn.....it's the most accurate aside from a peek inside!!!

thats the thing. this couldnt have happened at a worst time. im 20, within the next 6 months my boyfriend and i have to move out of our house (own by his parents) because his parents are moving to ohio. my parents live in tallahassee and now because of finiances that come along with a child we have to go live with one of them for the time being. naturally i want to be by my mom (april will make 1 year that i moved out of my parents house) and if i am pregnant my boyfriend and i are moving to tallahassee almost immediately to find a doctor. oh and i dont have health insurance on account of not living with my parents and cant afford it at the moment, also never really looked into it. see im just now finding the ways of the world. how the hell am i going to teach a child when im not even sure myself. luckily i am with the person i want to be with, and he has a good grasp on whats going on. but i feel horrible because he busts his *** as a chef and getting peanuts for it (he is really talented and its his passion but its not bringing in the money. i just dont want him to have to kill himself working trying to keep our new family afloat. ah. wow im sorry for the vent but i really needed to get that out. my options for people to talk to are the delusional mother-in-law, my senial mother, his brother who has the mentality that if you have a plan for your life and you get ripples in your plan the world is over as we know it. any input of feed back is appreciated
oh and update on symptoms. my bra is getting tight :-{ and what i thought was the beginning of the visit from AF seems to be the discharge (gross).

im 20 too, and just found out i'm pregnant.  i was about a week late when i started having mild cramps, but they felt like period cramps so i was expecting it to be just that.  my breasts were really sensitive but that was another sign i was getting my period so i didn't worry about it.  after another week passed i started to get worried, and then out of nowhere i started having sharp cramps that would almost shoot up to my back and they lasted for 10 hours straight and my breasts were so sore i couldnt even wear a bra.  thats when i went ahead and bought a test and it was positive.  i didnt know what the hell to do either, i just scheduled an appointment where they gave me another pregnancy test, and a papsmear and i talked to my dr in detail about my concerns and i took several blood tests.  trust me, i wasn't ready for this im still so young but you have to take care of yourself, the problem isn't going to go away on its own.  and if you are considering abortion, now is the best time because you can take pills if you wait too long it will be really painful.  and if you are going to keep it you should definitely see your dr..if you dont have health insurance try looking up a health center where they can treat you for free..i hope this helps

I know you are scared and that is completely normal. Stay strong and make the decisions that you are comfortable with and can live with for the rest of your life. Don't let anyone tell you what to do. There are people out there to help you no matter what. Good Luck!
