Injury, arthritis AND endocrine problems

by MBurt76, Mar 15, 2008 03:12PM
I've had ruptured disc surgeries at L5S1 and L4L5, both were repaired.  I have moderate to severe arthritis with narrowing and spurring in this same area as well as knee, hip, shoulder and hands.  I also have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism and several endocrine/hypothalmic issues (ultra-low testosterone, cortisol, etc>).  The result is significant chronic pain, along with severe fatigue and muscle aches.  I have had some good treatment for pain, for thyroid and testosterone deficiencies, etc., but I can't help but feel that none of the docs is seeing the whole picture of interrelated issues.  What can I do to get a more comprehensive evaluation and treatment plan?  Thanks, MB

Hopefully you have a multidisciplinary team in your area to help you out.
Look for one in your area. The Cleveland Clinic is a good place to be at if you in the US. We have an excellent set up through our center for patients like you as well.
