astigmatism

by PAMI1019, Mar 15, 2008 05:19PM
I have astigmation in both eyes, but my right eye is "lazy", no prescription glasses can help me. I also have floaters. I read about the surgery for astigmatism, and wondered if this would be applicable to my dilemma.

Can I have your thoughts on this, as I have always wondered what it would be like to see out of my right eye.

Very simply, surgery, in a best case scenario, would usually only give you the vision that you have with proper glasses.  THe vision loss from amblyopia is typically permanant after about age 11 oro 12 roughly.  Again, this applies only if you have true amblopia in your case.
