Brown marks in white of eye

My daughter is 3 1/2 years old and I just noticed that if I pull her eyelids up, the white of her eyes is full of dark  marks, almost like veins but a brownish/greyish color.  She hasn't complained about any discomfort in her eye.  I noticed this by accident.  Is this something I should be concerned about?
