Overwhelming smells constantly in my nostrils

by KitKat08, Mar 15, 2008 11:17PM
For over two months I have experienced a strong odor in my nostrils. At first woodsy, flowery at times more of a chemical or amonia smell. Very strong, right inside my nose.  No one else smells this but it makes me ill from the constant strong smell. Makes me feel kinda bad, stomach not right and sometimes queasy.
Blood work on the common stomack bacteria came back neg. No diabetes. Went on Macrobid for a UTI 5 days ago. The smells have lessened to about 3-4 a day with hours of relief in between instead of being constant. Seems to be respnding to antibiotics, have 5 days ago hope it goes away. If not then what. I have lost 10 pounds, no appetite because of the smell, its awful. No one seem to know what it is. Took me off of Nexium, smell still there. Checked teeth for problems all Ok. What next? 60 year old health female. Taking synthroid for years, on trial period of Visceral for OAB for two months.  Zantack for heartburn or gurd controls it some but not as well as Nexium.
