Stomach problems can range from gas, abdonimal pain and diarreha (sp?) shortly after eating.  Weight loss aand dermatitis herpetiformis are also symptoms.  I would strongly suggest a gluten free diet TODAY.  Celiacs disease can also cause lesions on your inestines called Diverticulum.  These lesions can become infected, rupture and lead to death quickly.  I know....this happened to me.

I was diagnosed with Celiac Sprue 12 yrs ago.  I had no symptoms other then chronic anemia, gas, and bloating.  For years my doctors were unable to explain the anemia until I saw a Gastroenterologist.  He suggested I be tested/biopsied for Celiac Sprue and found I had the disease.  Since my diagnosis I've followed my diet for the most part, but continued to eat foods containing hidden gluten ingredients.  Recently, I've had very itchy palms, joint pain in my arms and legs, and my first outbreak of Dermatitis Perpetiformis on my elbows.  I'm hoping that all my symptoms will vanish now that I'm on a very strict Gluten free diet.
