What's wrong with my left ear?

For the past few days, I noticed that my left ear has been muffled. I have an ipod with the earbud headphones and i listen to them SEMI-loud for a few hours every day. My left ear sometimes unexpectedly becomes achey and painful and feels like its really warm. Also when I yawn, I can hear the yawn/air like sound in my left ear because i guess its muffled or losing its hearing?
I dont know. I havent been sick or anything, the last time i was sick was from a little cold and the flu was in my house but i didnt catch it. IF it were my headphones, wouldnt you think there would be loss in BOTH ears? Help please? (and sorry if this question is in the wrong Topic Category)
