Hi, I was diagnose with low and high risk HPV when I was 18. I'm not in my 30's and not had any problems for the past 5-6 years. all my paps have came back negative. My question is, i'm starting an old, but new relationship with a friend and I want to know what are my chances of spreading HPV to my friend. We had sex once about 7 years ago and used a condom.

the most important question is ur friends std history and what he could b bringing u!HPV virus clear the body in 6-12 months and go dormant.U can b re-xposed to a new strain of 30 some diff viruses and pick that one up.ur risk of spreading something to him is low/nil if u 've had clean paps and used protection with others.
