ectopic? please answer?

hi i have been on the pill for 4 years and have recently fell pregnant i havent had regular periods for a while, so they sent me for u/s at the early pregnancy unit wer they did vaginal u/s and abdomial u/s they could see gestational sac measuring 5 weks 4 days but nothin else no yolc sac nothin! did my hgc levels and it was 4600 they said i was likely to misscarry well i never went bac 2 days later and hormones had doubled they said it was possible it was to early or it could be ECTOPIC! i ant really had pains apart from low back pain but they say this is normal in early preg due 2 corpus luetum cyst! i am bac for u/s tomoorow just wondered if anyone has had similiar thing im really scared! please help! x

I have had an eptopic before I don't know if all eptopics feel the same way but it doesn't sound like it to me. When I had an eptopic I had a lot of cramp the worst cramps in the world!!! Anyway good luck to you.

i agree with kelliestarr, perhaps its different per persn when it comes to ectopic. I had an ectopic pregnancy las year the cramps i had were like someone is cutting me up inside with a knife and i was bleeding internally as a result i wasnt aware that i was preg at 5 weeks as i had my period. if it was an ectopic they would have been able to see a blockage in one of your fallopian tubes but nothing in your uterus.

There have been people on here that have reported having an empty sac and then at their next u/s the sac had a fetal pole. I think 6 weeks plus you should really be able to see a fetal pole so i wouldnt worry to much maybe your dates are slightly out too and you are not as far along as you think. Good luck

I had an ectopic and had no symptoms at all..Went in for my first doctor appointment at 6.5 weeks and found out it was in the wrong place. My situation was the same as your's. The good thing is, you won't need to get rid of a tube. They will just give you methotrexate shot. Later on I found out why I had the ectopic (from my fertility doctor)and it was due to adhesions in my tubes. I had surgery in March of last year and I am now 29.5 weeks pregnanct, so don't let this get you down...Good luck and keep us posted.
