6 weeks preg and scared

Hello All,

I just found out that I am preg.  I had been tring for 12 years and was never able to get preg and at this point I really didn't think I could.  I had been have alot of bleeding and I went to the dr.  to talk about a historectomy.  She can back in the room and said that I was Preg,  She then sent be for HCG test which on saturday it can back at 22,000.  So she called me in to make sure that I wasn't preg in my tubes.  The baby had a heart beat and she guessed about 6 weeks.  I was so excited that I couldn't breathe.  Now that the realization of me being preg and worried that I will miscarry.  While I was in the about 2 weeks Preg my dr gave me bactrim for a bladder infection and  I have been taking fioricet for years on a regular bases and I was reading on some of the other sites about drug safety.  I found that If taking this Medication prior to preg then it can cause the baby to deformed or to have brain tumors.  I don't know what to do.  I don't see my dr again until Monday.  Is there any advise out there for me.

congrats on your pregnancy and try not to think about the m/c worries. just try and relax and enjoy the pregnancy. i would say stop taking any meds un til you see your doctor any meds  that are cat. d and z aren't safe during pregnancy. or you can call the nurse and ask what the cat. your meds fall into and she will go and ask the doctor or she ccan simple look it up in a pdr(physicain desk refernce book) has classification, contridiction, warnigs, about medications, and indiction of what the meds are for.and have a wonderful nine months of pregnanyc.

Try not to worry or stress. Stress is not good for you or the baby...... You should find out what catagory  your meds are in.. I would stop taking them until you find out though..... Take your prenatal vitamins  and drink plenty of water and try to eat healthy... Dont worry and have faith in God that he will take care of you and your baby! God bless you and your baby!!!

Congrats on your news.  I am almost 9 pregnant and the thought of miscarrying in very often.  I am very worried too.  All of these feelings are probably normal esp. in these early weeks.  Now that you know, you can be esp. careful with the things you do and eat so now is when it really counts.  And don't forget you prenatal vitamins!!!!  Wishing you a healthy and happy pregnancy!!!!!

Congrats on you pregnacy and try not to worry.  You have heard a heartbeat which is a good sign.  Once a heartbeat is heard the chances of miscarriage decrease alittle.  If you have been trying for that long and this is your first pregnancy you should think of it as your miracle baby.  good luck

Yep This is my first and it is weird.  I know I'm still early in my preg but my body is doing weird stuff.  I truly will charish everything and everymoment.

congrats on your good news...i am 29 and am expecting my first baby....i am in the same situation as u...all i can worry about is miscarrying as i experienced vaginal bleeding during my 5th week. doctors have put me on cyclogest for three months....i am on strict bedrest and all i do is count days till my ultrasound......all i can say is keep faith in God. all will be ok. good luck
