My Boyfriend Can Not Orgasm

by Brownap2, Mar 19, 2008 02:47PM
My boyfriend and i have a great and vibrant sex life.....except for the fact that he doesn't ejaculate. We have tried everything, literally everything....and he always gets close but he never finishes. The only way he has ever ejaculated (save 1 time) is by masturbation....and sometimes he can't ejaculate then either. He has just gotten comfortable to talk to me openly about it. And we have been together a year. We both are 21 and have had several partners before each other. He told me the only time he has ejaculated other than once with me is his first time ever having sex. Now i know that he masturbates often but he's even tried cutting back on that. We are not ttc but i am concerned about his health.

Oh and he does have precum during sex.
Someone please help me help him

It could be that he is taking some meds that are inhibiting this. Anti-depressants as well as other types of medicine can cause probs in this area. He might not want to share whether his on meds or not but it is a likely possibility.

It is also very possible that it is mentally he is affected. Often times when people grow up in a very religious home, for example, we here how "bad" sex is and that it's "wrong", etc.

It also can be from possible sexual abuse as a child.

These are things to consider. He might not be comfortable discussing these potential factors with partners but maybe he could with his Doctor.

Good Luck.

Yep, I learned recently that SSRIs (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors) can cause this.  Also other forms of medication.

i know exactly what you are talking about.  a friend of mine cannot ejaculate either.  he says he thinks its because of a mental block.  he has always seen *** as messy and gross so he is embarrassed to *** in front of his partners... even though he really wants to.  however, when he masturbates he can ***.  so i could be some kind of mental block...  i hope this helps a little.  much luck!
