dysuria

Dear Dr.  On 03/08/08 I recieved a hand job on my penis from a massage person with babyoil.  I wore a condom.  She washed her hands afterward, I didn't wash anything and just left.  The next day my urine was darker and I urinated frequently.  Since then, I've had some burning when urinating and my penis tip feels itchy after urinating.  Went to my PCP on 3/18/08 and got a urine screening in the cup.  He said there were 18 puss cells and no bacteria as of yet.  He sent it away to get a culture.  He put me on Cipro for five days.

My questions:  Can I get an STD from the hand job?
Can STD 's live on or in the baby oil bottle that she used?
Can I get an STD from the towel that I laid on?
The tip of my penis is slighlty red, could I get an UTI from the baby oil?
What could this be from the urine test?

Anxious and waiting for the urine culture result.  Thanks for your help.

You asked several good questions but my guess is that you are experiencing the results of local trauma and over concern. The hand job may well have caused some local irritation with the result that you have some burning/discomfort in your penis. This could give you the white cells in your urine. You did the correct thing by going to your physician and getting a urinalysis and culture. The culture is going to give you the answer about a urinary tract infection, but will not likely answer the question regarding an STD. A urethral swab would give that answer, but I seriously doubt that that is your problem.
STD's that can be transmitted via a hand job after washing hands would be limited to condyloma, and herpes and these would not show up this quickly. Direct contact from a wart or herpetic lesion would be required. The condom certainly makes these unlikely.
I have no idea whether any of the std bacteria/viruses can live in baby oil. The towel upon which you laid is an unlikely source unless another individuals body fluids were on it.
