Eye Redness

I wake up in the morning with red eyes. The left eye is more red than the right eye. My eyes remain this way through out the day with slight pain. Always seems like my eyes are teary or i am angry. I use Visine drops and it does reduce the redness for maybe half hour and it goes red again. I do use glasses, i don't use contacts. It has been this way for years and it really affects my confidence. People think i am tired or angry everytime. I need some advice on what to do. Thanks
