Is it MS or Adrenoleukodystrophy or something else?

I was diagnosed with RRMS 14 yrs ago. Past 4 years, ABC drugs ineffective. I switched neurologists- have had elevated VLCFA and lactate level and low pyruvate level. Waiting for ABCD1 gene testing to come back. I have a 12 year old son. Should I be worried? Is there any other dx besides ADL that this could be?
