Positve OPK twice in one cycle

by annadurfee, Mar 21, 2008 12:17PM
According to OPKs, I got positives on CD15 and CD16.  I started noticing some ovulation signs yesterday and this morning, CD22, I decided to test again with another OPK out of curiousity and it came back positive.  Any clues as to why?  I didn't really know if I had fertile CM with my first OPK since ny husband and I were very "active" and it is hard to tell the difference with CM and semen.  Anyway, just wondering if there would be any reason why I'd get a second positive OPK 6 days after the first two.  Is there such a thing as a second LH surge that doesn't mean or do anything?

I did that once and my doc told me that my body kept trying to surge but probably never made it.  He recommended clomid and trigger shot to make sure I o'd.

Same thing has happened to me!!! this month I was surging and then they also gave me a trigger.. well went in for an ultrasound to make sure I O'd and the follie never broke and released the egg : (   so I was curious and tested this morning and I still have a strong positive OPK (4 days after trigger so not sure if its from that or not!). I need that follie to push out that egg already though!

That's an interesting question.  This cycle my OPKs were negative, followed by four days of positives (and then I ran out, so stopped testing!)  I've never had that many positives, so was confused, but my BBT chart on FertilityFriend.com did show a temperature shift, so I'm pretty sure I O'd.  Reading the other posts makes me curious, though.
