what are these bumps?

I've had these 2 bumps on the shaft of my penis for quite a while now...before i had a girlfriend and before a girl was even close to there. At first I didnt think much of it but now that I recently got a new girlfriend I want to find out more info on them before we decide to do anything. They are 2 bumps near the bottom of the shaft and look like a regular white blackhead pimple that you could get on your face, but these feel kinda hard and havent gone away yet. I couldn't understand if they would be like an STD since I havent done anything before with a girl..like not even a girl touching it. The only action it would get once and a while would be masterbation and I didnt know if that would have anything to do with it. I have had these for a few months now and I dont seem to be getting any more other than the 2 i already have. can you help me out and tell me what these are and how to get rid of them?...and if there are any ways of getting rid of them that i can do at home myself, and how?...or if i have to go somewhere and to do what?

What you describe clearly isn't an STD, based both on the description itself and the fact that the bumps were there before you ever were sexually active.  As best I can tell, they're probalby sebaceous cysts (basically, glorified blackheads), small fibromas (small benign tumors in the skin), or just a variation on normal genital anatomy.  Aside from that, I can't guess -- and since this forum is limited to STD issues, I don't speculate much beyond STDs themselves.

Since I don't know what you have, I cannot suggest any remedies.  The answer lies in seeing a health care provider.  Don't be embarrassed -- just do it.  You can get low cost or free care, without your parents knowing, at your local health department; or perhaps a school-based clinic, if there is one; or find a local community clinic.  (If you can't find these in the phone book or online, call your local county health department and ask about them.)

In the meantime, don't worry about it.  Clearly you have nothing of any serious importance to your health or that of your girlfriend.

Best wishes--  HHH, MD
