Legg Perthes disease??

Hello , My son is 7 he's been limping since oct, we took him to doctors then , no problems,thought it was growing pains still limping went 5-6 weeks  ago new diagnosis Legg perthes disease. I'm told the bone in left hip is dying, lack of blood supply to the hip It should heal on its own. He is in alot of pain, been back and forth to doctors he has crutches because he can hardly walk at times.Has anyone seen this?? We are seeing another specialist for 2nd opinion. My son has other Medical problems as well.Epilepsy, intestinal malrotation,Alergies asthma,He's a tough little guy, my heart breaks he's been through alot in his little life. We just want help for his pain??  Anyone have this or know TX for it???

Well my son hads that he had surgery like 2 years ago!! He is doing much better they did surgery on his hip!! Good luck to you dear

He was...he had hard time playing with the kids at school. When he walked it was cricked and he was sore all the time. I cant remember what the name of the surgery was though. He hasnt had any other problems from it. is surgery  was where they did something to let the hip start having blow flow to it. Hope it all works out!!
