Sore Wisdom Tooth

I am 23 years old, and my wisdom teeth came in several years ago with no problem. Recently, I have started to feel soreness in one of my wisdom teeth. Flossing, and brushing carefully and frequently has not caused the pain to go away. The pain is not severe, but it is always uncomfortable and sometimes while eating, I cannot eat with that side of my mouth. If i gently run the tooth with a dental pick some areas feel quite painful to touch, but the strange thing is that is occurs in several different areas on the tooth. My question is this: does this sound symptomatic of a cavity (or cavities, I suppose) or perhaps soreness caused by the tooth pushing against the nearby molar, or perhaps even an infection? I do not have a dentist in the area that I am currently residing, and the issue that I am most worried about would be an infection. I can wait out the soreness, like I said it is not severe, but are there any other symptoms of an infection that I can watch out for? I would really appreciate any advice, thanks.

I think you should see a dentist. Teeth are important. Maybe your wisdom teeth need to come out. But I think if your in pain you should make arrangments to see a dentist befor the pain gets any worse.
