I am on 1st round of Femara, too. Today is cd21 for me and opk is finally getting close to positive. This is a long wait to o for me. On Clomid, I o'd between cd9 & 12. Oh well, hopefully the wait is worth it. I may be delayed from the cyst I had from the Clomid. It finally dissolved. Good luck! The waiting is terrible, lol

I'm on my 3rd round of Femara.  The first month, I O'd on day 12, but during both last month and this month I O'd on day 14.  What cycle days did you take Femara and waht dose?  That also plays a role too.  I took 5 mg on cd 3-7.  I think your follies sound really promising!  From other things I've read, they can grow by 2mm a day, so you should be getting close.  Best of luck to you!!!

I took my first cycle with femara this month and should have O'd on cd12 - had a22mm follie!!! with a positive LH surge!!!  normally its day 17 to 19 so this was early for me!!  Did all of yall get more than one follie?? I only had one, but am thinking maybe I need to develop more to increase my chances! (my left ovary really isn't working so it would need to be just with the one ovary) I'm only on 2.5mg once a day cd3-7, would increasing the dose make the follie grow faster or make more follies?? any ideas?? thanks!! : )

I only had 1 follie with Femara and I am on cycle #3 taking 5 mg on cd 3-7.  If I remember correctly from everything I read, I think that people on Clomid have more follies because it has a different effect and really over-stimulates the ovaries.  That's why they warn you to watch out for signs of hyperstimulation.  I don't think the dose matters, but I could be wrong.  I'm sure it affects everyone differently too.  I'll be interested to see what other's experiences have been, but maybe this would be something good to ask your doctor too.  I know injectibles make a lot of follies, but this would also then increase your chances for multiples, which in turn is a much riskier pregnancy.

huh... I think that clomid may also be worse for endo patients... Once AF starts I'll ask my RE if we should try to get a couple more follies (he didnt' seem like a big fan of injectables due to my age -27, and the risk of multiples) after next month we have our sit down and talk, injectables vs IVF! They already see another hemorrhagic cyst on my "bad"ovary and my lap was only 1 month ago! ugh! so time is of the essence! we'll see!    I'll let you know what he says!  Thanks!
