Grace? Gential HSV-1 outbreak

by grapefruit08, Mar 26, 2008 07:54AM
Last night I was going crazy and wasn't watching my words: I wrote I'd had unprotected vaginal and anal sex with a virgin, I really had vaginal and ORAL (once in December, once in January). The guy definately didn't have a cold sore at the time, and I've never seen him with one.
Last night I was freaked out about some tiny red bumps almost like heat rash around my anus. This morning they've faded just a bit. BUT now I have this tiny, tiny bump that itches on one side of my labia majora. It's not a blister. Maybe I sound irrational but what else could it be? Not a bug bite. I scheduled an appointment with a clinic.
My question is, if the guy was asymptotically shedding when we hooked up, wouldn't I be having an outbreak on my lips too? I never get cold sores so I thought I should be at risk for them, too?

Well hey at least someone is getting sex around here even if it wasn't memorable enough to remember what really went on....he he he

Have you ever been tested for herpes before to know what your own status is?

It could be many things going on down yonder - irritation in general, bacterial infection, fungal infection etc.  Going to be seen and following up on it is the best idea. Not sure when your appointment is but if you really suspect herpes you need to be seen within 24-48 hours of the appearance of symptoms.
