Are these safe?

I'm 18.4 weeks with my girl boy twins and recently heard from other women I shouldn't be doing some of the stuff I have.......like ride a 4 wheeler, tractor, dump truck, or in a boat.....and no shooting a shot gun....are these harmful or just wives tales?

Hello,

Unless your doctor tells you otherwise you have no restrictions on your activity.  And moderate exertion, whether with exercise or work, is acceptable.  That said you should only do the things you feel comfortable doing and won't put you at harm.  Activities that put you at risk for falls, abdominal trauma, or getting shot should be avoided.

Best regards,

Dr. Downing

If I were you I definately would NOT be riding a 4 wheeler,,,I wouldn't think the bumping around from all of that stuff would be a good thing... Haven't you ever heard people say "just go driving down a bumpy road if you want to go into labor" ...?  Just think how cramped they are in there and what it does to your body when you hit a few bumps, not to mention how scared you would feel if you fell off of one of those things..not trying to scare you, only help

I have been riding on my 4 wheeler up until just recently. I felt comfortable until just now. I am 30 weeks and have had no problems. I dont think it will harm the baby at all unless you are just down right careless.
