strange bitter taste in mouth while EATING

For a few days I have a bitter tasted on my tongue in the back while I eat or dring.  it doesn't last long but it is annoying.   Is it a sympton of something serious?

I've had a similar thing that started two days ago.  Between meals, I'm fine.  But when I eat, the food tastes bitter.  The bitterness seems to come from the roof of my mouth.  Anyone have any idea what this might be?  I read another forum on another site in which people attributed it to eating pine nuts.  I haven't had any pine nuts in over a year, so I know this is something else--although I did first experience this while eating cashews...
