Was a CT scan done? Usually it is recommended after a head injury. Ice ball is pretty hard and heavy. The impact may lead to shearing forces inside the skull. The brain momentarily moves back and forth. The bluish discoloration is the blood collection under the skin. This will take its own time to resolve. But we do not know if there is any small bleed inside the skull cavity. I would suggest a CT scan and an ENT specialist’s opinion.
