toungh biting

During the sleep, almost every night i bite my toungh. It causes a lot of pain, it bleeds and does not let me rest normally. I've been by many doctors but only thing they say that its a very rare sicknes and gave me pill that make my sleep deeper. Unfortunatly even though i in a deep sleep i still bite my toungh and it tortures me.
If you have any suggestion about it I would really appriciate.

Seeing a tmj specialist for occlusal appliance therapy is advised.
