We need some uplifting news in here!

by abbyloo, Mar 30, 2008 11:02AM
Ladies, I've come to this website many times to keep up with all of you and ask a few questions of my own, but lately it's been such a sad place to visit. We need some uplifting news girls! I know how hard it is to get pregnant. I've been there and I'm so happy I finally am. In fact I turned 5 months yesterday! My belly button is even flattening out already! My heart goes out to all of you strong women out there who know they're ready to be mothers. I live in New Mexico which has one of the highest percentages of single parent homes, teenage pregnancy, and drug related pregnancy. It seems like the only people getting pregnant here are the people who aren't ready and don't want to be. While my husband and I were trying to get pregnant, I watched 4 of my friends get pregnant and have kids. Even the girl with the odds 1 in a billion get pregnant!!! I was devastated. I remember finding out in December that she was pregnant even with the odds against her. I locked myself in my room and couldn't get over it. I was ready to be a mom I wanted it more than anything and I decided that month that it was going to happen. I made up my mind that day and when my husband and I went for a weekend trip out of town to go Christmas shopping, I got pregnant. I don't know how it happened but it did. My life is now where I want it. Ladies I know that feeling of not getting pregnant and giving up for the moment. Make up your mind ladies. I'm not an expert on anything but hope. I DO believe there's hope for all of us. God's just waiting for the right time. God bless all of you and I hope we all get to feel that joy of having a successful pregnancy and seeing your baby for the first time. Love, kisses, and baby dust to all! Cheer up ladies!

Some of us use this forum as a means of support when we are down, or sad from the hormones being injected into us that make us that way - or confused by the complicated procedures that we are undergoing.  It is not "the happy pregnancy forum" - it is a forum for questions regarding fertilty and infertility procedures.

I'm sure we all wish we could report good news like you

I could not agree with you more!  I understand if she did want to give all of us still TTC a little bit of hope but she could have gone about it differently.  I was just glad someone was on the same page as me. I was like "what the heck"  this is our safe place to feel sad, happy or whatever we are feeling at the time.
I'm with you!
