Can my adult son have a personality disorder?

Hello
My son is going to be 23. He does work and is living outside the home. However, he isnt a social person at all. He doesnt talk much, he would rather sit there and intake everything and say absolutely nothing. His personality is very layed back and relaxed to sometimes angry. Hes a loner.
He broke up with his girlfriend and had a few friends. It went from that to not bothering with anyone anywhere anytime
He also hasnt a care in the world for anyone. He has a total disregard for people, what he says or does or how he acts towards others. Including family.
Theres much more to tell. But I simple dont know where to go or how to handle him anymore. His world is his and only his, the way he thinks, he thinks, does what he does, how he does when and where. Its like hes in his own world.

Perhaps he has chosen to avoid life. The truth is, there is nothing you can do except take care of yourself and pray for him.
