Eye Problems Caused By The Brain

by OliverLevine, Mar 30, 2008 04:24PM
One other post has been made about this by JobeyKobra on 8th March 08. I just wanted to say that I also have exactly the same symptons as you do; floaters 1st; most in the left eye, then starbursts and fragmented light in my vision, which as has been said before, 'develope' over time. Unlike JobeyKobra though, I've been having this thing for a year now. I've actually gotten used to it, until very recently a headache started on the top of my head, the pain feels in the area of my skull but could be in the brain, but it's odd because this headache seems to make me panicky instead of just hurt, it's also made me panicky about my vision again and I've now associated the two problems as being a brain problem which I can't understand. Either that, or a problem concerning the message path-way between the eyes and the brain. Can someone please enlighten the situation on what's wrong with me? Also I've been sleeping for the past 8 years or so with the right side of my head on the bed wich has changed the structure of my skull a tiny bit, could that be the reason why?

You should start with seeing a neuro-ophthalmologist (find one at www.aao.org) then a neurologist.

Do you have any ideas of what I have?

Could it be Horner's Syndrome?

Horner Syndrome is generally not painful.

I'm now sure that I have Visual Snow. Is it serious? Is there any cure or way I can stop it?

I don't know anything about visual snow. There are a ton of conversation threads about it on this forum.
