Would a person with Celiac Disease be ruled out for having Gastric Bypass surgery?

I am not a surgeon, so my insight into this question is limited.

To my knowledge, celiac disease should not be a contraindication to gastric bypass surgery.

There are a few cases where the surgery exacerbated cases of latent celiac disease, or worsened the symptoms.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
