Hello,

Symptoms of pregnancy can begin as early as three weeks after conception. The most common symptoms of early pregnancy are:

Amenorrhea
Nausea with or without vomiting
Breast tenderness
Increased frequency of urination
Fatigue

Bleeding in early pregnancy is of concern if it is heavier than a typical menstrual period or accompanied by pain, as this may represent an ectopic pregnancy or impending miscarriage.

What you describe sounds normal and is quite common.  I simply encourage you to follow up with your ob/gyn as you have indicated you will.

Best regards,

Dr. Downing
