Chronic ecsma?

Some 15 years ago was diagnosed with a genital yeast infection.( (the tip of the penis)
I was given a cream which had little or no effectI. The rash was mostly  not irritating so I  ignored it and the rash seem to come and go. Sometimes if it was particularly bad and when if it became covered with sperm in a condem it would burn painfully. The pain would eventually reduce after rinsing with much cool water.
Because of this I was prompted to visit the clinic yet again.  After various creams and tests I was diagnosed with a form of ecsma.  For which I was given creams.  These creams had an erratic effect sometimes seemed to help, then nothing. The rash coming and going at its own accord.
After months of various creams I gave up.
Shortly after I got a rash on my scalp over my ear about the size of a twenty pence piece. Itches a little but not very much and does'nt seem to get any worse. Some months ago I got a rash on my inner wrist which by now has completely cleared up. The rash on the scalp and penis remain.
The penis end his quite red and has a sort of short of dry shrivelled appearance as if the surface skin has lost some of its elasticity. On close inspection there seems red nodules beneath the surface. The overall picture looks as if the penis tip has been dipped in a strong solution of salt and is beginning to crystalize.  Or sprinkled with fine fragments of broken glass
I'm not sure but I  think that rashes are often brought on by a hidden nervous condition and paying too much attention to it can exacerbate the condition. And so I ignore it and don't bother looking anymore
Nevertheless any comments would be appreciated.

Hi,

I understand your frustration.The differentials that your doctors have mentioned are still to be considered. Eczema and an allergic reaction are still possible causes due to the chronicity and presentation of your condition.

At this point, I would like to add psoriasis as a differential .You have noted that your scalp, wrists and scrotum are now involved.

Is the rash scaly? Is it itchy?

I suggest that you discuss the possibility of this being psoriasis with your doctor.With the chronicity of your condition and the involved areas,psoriasis is a likely diagnosis.

Do not apply anything on the area without informing your physician .

I have a rash on my scrotum. It is mainly on the back and sides. The rash came out of nowhere ten months ago. I was told it was every conceivable problem. At first an allergic reaction then yeast, impetigo, folleculitis. The dermatologists have a dart board in the back room. When they leave you they go to it then maybe the ougi board. I feel I would be better off with just about any major disease then having a skin problem. These guys are still in the stone age.You will see a cure for HIV and Cancer before they can control eczema.
