TELLING YOUR CHILDREN

I WAS RECENTLY INFORMED BY MY FORMER HUSBAND THAT HE HAS AIDS AND HAS KNON FOR A FEW YEARS.  APPARENTLY THIS DISEASE HAS PROGRESSED AND HE TOLD ME AND WANTS ME TO HELP TELL OUR CHILDREN.  THEY ARE 18 AND 19.  JUST GRADUATED FROM H.S. ONE IN COLLEGE AND THEY OTHER GOING INTO THE ARMY, OTHER THAN EDUCATION HOW DO I TELL THEM?

How would you tell your kids that he has heart disease? Just because he has AIDS doesn't mean he's dieing now or in the near future. I believe your kids will handle it well.
