Young stepmom

by h78, Apr 03, 2008 11:19AM
I get frustrated very easily as i suffer with personality disorders, i married a man who is twice my age and has 2 teenagers. The son is fine i have very little problem with him but the daughter is a young 18 and has a habit of saying the wrong thing at the wrong time in the wrong tone of voice. As you can imagian this causes stress as to be honest I dont know when she is trying to be nice and its just my health that causes the problem or if she really is trying to push me away. I also have a stepmom myself who is not very helpful and my husband normally appears to be the one that actually gets in the way of me and my step daughter getting along. I also get upset when his ex has ago at him for something he can not help. ie not collecting his daughter from work because he is working.

Can anyone give me some advice please?

Whether she were a stepdaugher or not, the 18 year old would still come off like she does. That is just her age. Also there is nothing you can do about the ex treating your husband badly. Just be greatful that it won't be for much longer, once the children are grown, he no longer has to deal with her.
