Tingling

by nervous1234, Apr 04, 2008 02:37AM
I engaged in risky sexual activity 9 days ago. I did not have sex with out a condom, but did receive and give oral with another man. I have been tested and preemptively treated for gonorrhea, syphilis and chlamydia. I am experiencing mild tingling on the head of my penis, I am nervous that I may have been exposed to herpes. I have been experiencing the tingling and mild numbness for about 3 days. I do not experience any pain while urinating. If I am going to develop blisters, should I already have? If not how many days will thing sensation go on before I see ulcers or blisters? Do you think this is herpes?  Am I overreacting?

Its really tough to say what this might be.  Have you ever had a cold sore before?

If you have, the chances of you getting genital hsv1 is very slim.  You might want to take a type specific blood test now, and if its positive, then this isn't likely at all to be herpes.

It could also easily be anxiety.

Did you have herpes, it has been several weeks now.  I have the same concern, mine has been 16 days.  Soreness in the urethra, maybe an ulcer there but no outward signs

If its been 16 days, why haven't you seen a doctor yet?  You could have NGU or something, and you need to get treated.

I never understand this sitting around and waiting thing.

Go to the doc and get tested and start feeling better.

"I never understand this sitting around and waiting thing."

LOL. Especially if you have symptoms!  Cruising the Internets won't get you any closer to "healing."

They are looking for someone to say that it's NOT herpes and then they will accept that as an answer and live happily ever after

I have been tested for chlamydia and gonorrhoeae this week and the tests were negative (Blood and urine tests).  I am going tomorrow and hopefully get a swab test. I will keep the community updated.

It took until Tuesday to get the swab test. The Nurse Practitioner said there did not appear to be any HSV sores.  She said it would take several weeks for the culture to be back.  I will keep the community updated.

Several weeks? What country are you in?

Now even more confused.  Swab test was negative.  I am picking up the results in person tomorrow from local health clinic.  I now have scheduled appointment with Uroligist.  They suspect uritist assosiated with kidney stones.
