Very Strange Pot Effect

by Theory400, Apr 04, 2008 07:18PM
Hello all,
I smoked pot for the first time when i was in grade 10 and proceeded to smoke it about 10 times within the next two months after I had first tried it.  It never gave me any strange side effects, just the usual.  But one day, I smoked with three other people and had a VERY strange experience.  I was standing with a group and this very uncomfortable feeling hit me.  My skin (mostly my arms as I recall) became very itchy and shaky to a point where I kept having to move them (kind of like the feeling where your limbs fall so far alseep that it feels very uncomfortable to move them...but with itchiness) and my heart rate began to beat at a rate that I had never felt before in my life (i would put my hand on my chest and was actually worried that I was going to have a heart attack it was beating so fast).I had the feeling that my whole body was flipping backwards in circles as I stood on the spot. I was sweating and becoming very anxious because of the whole ordeal.  When I mentioned it to a friend they handed me a pill (nothing illegal, just T3 I think) and I took it to calm myself down.  Anyway, after about 10 more minutes I began to throw up until the end of the event.  Afterward I went through about a year of panic attacks and today, although I do not suffer from the attacks anymore, I feel asthough my visual perception has changed...It is very hard to explain.  I see everything and it is physically the same as before, although the "way" i see it is different, as though my vision is slower.  Does anyone have any idea as to what is going on?  And also, I have seen a doctor and had blood work done and everything was fine, but I did not mention it to him that I was smoking (worried that itll somehow get back to my parents!)  Thank you very much to anyone who has anything at all to say.

I would guess the pot was laced with some time of hallucinogen. That is however only a guess

My GUESS is that it was laced with something and you had a bad reaction to it. That is about the only thing that came to my mind. Sorry I wasn't much help.

Also, you have Dr./patient confidentiality. The doc can't tell your parents.

I've never in 30 years come across any weed that did that. (OK fine Im old, LOL)
Like stated above sounds like it was laced with something. If you are still feeling effects, then tell your doctor. Once you are 16, your parents cannot see your medical records without your permission. Its a federal law called HIPPA. I hope you talk to him/her about it. Take care.
Peace~

Definately sounds like it was laced with some kinds of drug. Go have your eyes checked, a full exam. If there was some kind of reaction that is permanent, they may see it in your eyes. They can see alot of things with an eye exam. How is your vision other wise?

Thanks for all of your fast comments!!  Hmm, well my vision is fine otherwise, just the whole perception thing...I mean, my clarity has degraded a bit, but I am pretty sure because it has been over a full two years and it has only changed a very slight amount clarity wise.

I would still get a full eye exam and like I said, you can tell your Dr...they can not give your info. out to anyone anymore with your age, so you have nothing to worry about with that. Good luck. Hope all is well.

I smoked pot at times throughout my life and never liked the high at all. Paranoid but on one instance I smoked some pot when I qas 16 and I knew before I smoked it it was dusted but had a strange trip and never touched anything laced again. Maybe that is what you had smoked. Be careful what you full with.

I have smoked pot for years.  Once many years ago I had a panic attack and the high was very different than any other.  I guessed it was laced with something.  Sounds like your situation.  I agree with everone you need to go to your MD and come clean with him so he can make an accurate diagnosis.  Good Luck

It sounds like it was "laced" with a bit of embalming fluid (poor man's hallucinogenic).  A really nasty practice that comes and goes over the decades. (The vomiting definitely makes me think this, mixed with the rest. Mushrooms can make you vomit violently but you usually have to drink them in a tea to get that effect.

I'd say you got lucky.
