kissing and HIV

Dear Dr. HHH,
first and foremost, thanks for your amazing work and patience with us all and our fears.  I have tried to read every post that I could find.  It seems there are back and forth debates about what defines the blood needed to be considered actively bleeding and theoretical risks.  My situation is as follows.  Maybe its silly and irrational but still it’s scary to me.  So here is another kissing/blood/cut and HIV question.  went on a date with a girl that I am interested in and had a few drinks.  Hit it off and and engaged in French Kissing for some time.  That’s all we did!  However, early that day I burned the roof of my mouth from some hot food and bit the inside of my cheek pretty good too.  I didn’t think anything of it till the next day when the blister on the roof of my mouth felt very raw.  There was visible blood in my saliva, so who knows what the condition of it was the evening before.  I’m going to assume that if blood was there the day after it could certainly be there the night before.

1) is there any reason to get tested?

2) is there any way this could be a path of HIV transmission not knowing the condition of her mouth?
thanks for any responses!  you’re all great!

This is the STD forum; please see the prominent IMPORTANT notice above.

There is no known risk of HIV transmission by kissing.  Futher, there is no debate about it if you limit your research to responsible, professional sources.

If you need more of a response than that, you'll need to re-post your question in the HIV Prevention forum.  But I suggest you don't spend another $15.00.  The response there would be the same.
