Lochia after delivery

by EKBeach, Apr 05, 2008 05:26PM
I had my baby almost 10 weeks ago (on January 29th) and I am having lochia and bleeding.  I have charted it for the last week and half and it goes from yellowish one day to bleeding red the next, where I think I'm starting my period.  It has been going on like this every other day for the last week.  When I do have the red, I have small clots as well, no bigger than pea sized.  It seems to me like this should have cleared up by now.  I wanted to know if this is normal or if I need to get checked out.  Thanks for your help.

Hello,

It is a prolonged amount of time to still be experiencing lochia.   You should be seen to have your symptoms investigated.

Best regards,

Dr. Downing
