Leuprolide (Lupron) is a hormonal therapy in breast cancer used for ovarian ablation. It is a leutenizing hormone-hormone releasing hormone (LHRH) agonist. It suppresses the production of estrogen in premenopausal women. It is used in conjunction with other hormonal treatments like tamoxifen in patients with breast cancer. Patients on lupron will experience cessation of menstruation because of decreased hormone levels that is similar in postmenopausal women.
It would be best to consult your doctor for evaluation to determine the cause of your light bleeding.
Good luck.
