9 yr. old prescribed 18mg Concerta along with 10 mg of Aderall

My 9 yr. old has been on Concerta18 mg for about 1 yr., with some success. Now the Dr. suggests that we supplement this with Aderall 10mg. She was diagnosed with ADD (inatentiveness). Is this to much med. for her? She weighs 70 pounds. We are starting the Aderall 10 mg today and we are worried about the side affects. How does this combination of meds. work and what can we expect from this combo. We need to know the good and bad.

I don't think it is. It really just depends on what will work for her. My oldest son will be 9 in Jul and he is currently on 54mg Concerta. He generally has to increase ever 9 to 12 months because he outgrows the medicine.

Im not good with converting pounds to kilograms but with the concerta it is roughly 1mg for every kilo.

I would rather the dosage be raised if possible rather than giving two medications.
