What type of doctor do I go to for anal warts?

I'm posting this here instead of my other post so it doesn't get too confusing for me! I checked with my insurance and they don't have any proctologists covered. Do I see a colon/rectal surgeron or a gastroenterologist to get internal anal warts checked for? Sorry if they are spelled wrong. Thank you!

I'd see if your primary care physician could refer you to another physician they believe you'd benefit from seeing (to be examined for the anal warts). Explain your insurance situation to them, doctors and their staff are pretty used to dealing with such matters.

Hi, You can definitely see you gynecologist for this type of problem. I work in a gyn office and we see this problem on occasion. Hope this helps.

Thanks guys. My gyno is the one who won't check that out. She wants me to see some doctor she knows. I called a colon/rectal surgeon to check if they do that stuff and they told me yes. I plan on making an appointment in the near future. Thanks again!
