vaginal itching

ive got really bad itching in the vaginal area on 1 lip its now sore because ive scratched it im not keen on seeing a doctor since i dont trust any of them and i dont even  like talking to a female doctor so im not intrested in seeing a gynologoist as ive had bad experiences with doctors and the idea of a gyno really scares me can you give me any tips of how to stop the itching
