Urgent: Question about woozy feeling.

For almost three weeks now I have had a problem with a woozy feeling, like a dizzy feeling but not quite dizzy. It's as though I feel slightly innebriated. I also have dry mouth. Innitially this started with dizzy spells for a over a week, so I thought I had picked up a virus. Then one evening I just felt innebriated out of no where. It terrified me so much that I ended up at the ER. they did a Ct scan and said that it looked normal. The Er doctor told me to follow up with my Family doc if it persisted. It did persist and and it hasnt stopped. The next day I was fine but in the evening it started again and it hasnt left since. It became so bad that I ended up back at the ER. The doctor said that this is a middle ear infection and that it could take 2 months to leave. The following day I was able to see my familiy doctor and he said it was not a middle ear infection because I was not experiencing vertigo. He did blood tests and my thyroid levels were at 12.5 TSH. He said this "could" be what is wrong. What I am concerned about is this: He wants me to wait three weeks to see if the synthroid increase helps.

I have had a thyroid problem for over 15 years and have never experienced these effects. Can high TSH levels cause this? Also, two days before this started I had severe neck pain down the right side of my neck.
Then two days later this happens... Im not sure if this is connected.

Any advise that you can give me would be very much appreciated.

Laurie
