ogtt was 37 what doe's this mean?

by TJ2252, Apr 07, 2008 08:58PM
I was just told that my glucose blood test was 37 after two hours. What does that mean? I'm taking these test to be a kidney donor for my sister will this affect my chances for a good match?

You must have been feeling pretty awful at the time your bloodwork was being done, for that is a VERY low glucose reading. It means that you get hypoglycemic sometimes after you eat... shouldn't affect your donor situation, but you may want to get a glucometer and check your sugar levels and maybe do some dietary changes. More information about hypoglycemia can be found on www.hypoglycemia.org
